Fees & Rebates - Brookvale Psychologist (Northern Beaches)

​Lara Petrulis is a psychologist providing counselling for adults in Brookvale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. This page outlines the fees for psychological counselling sessions, as well as information about Medicare rebates and private health fund claims.

Appointments are available in person in Brookvale or online via Zoom.

Session Fees
The fee for a 60-minute individual counselling session is $230.
For couples counselling, the fee is $245 per session.

Medicare Rebates
A referral from your GP is not required to make an appointment. However, if you would like to claim a Medicare rebate, you will need to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) & referral from your GP. Your GP will assess your eligibility for this referral.
With a Mental Health Care Plan, clients may receive a Medicare rebate of $98.95 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
(Please note that Medicare rebates do not apply to couples counselling.)

Private Health Fund Rebates
Many private health funds also provide rebates for psychological consultations. It is recommended that you check your level of cover directly with your insurer.

Private health fund rebates are only applicable for clients who are not already claiming the Medicare rebate.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible. You may cancel by calling or texting Lara with your appointment time.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full session fee.
